Design of interior double-leaf doors

• To prevent possible jamming during humidity changes, it is also necessary to provide a clearance between the door leaf and the box about 5 mm.
Of course, when choosing a double-leaf interior door, it is necessary to consider the possibility of finishing works on the floor plane near the door.
Door installation technology
Being in the zone of constant visibility and enhanced operation, the quality of installation of double-leaf interior doors is given special importance. Thanks to the numerous offers of manufacturers of interior doors and simplified versions of models, their self-installation is allowed.
However, the procedure for installing and installing an internal double-leaf door with your own hands requires a phased implementation of technological operations. Especially since the doors are double-leaved interior, the dimensions of which can differ from the prepared standard doorways in the apartment, will require additional installation efforts.
Stages of installation of an interior double-leaf door
The installation of a double-leaf door with its own hands consists of the following steps:
• dismantling the old door leaf and door frame if necessary
• manual assembly of the door box from the manufacturer
• installation of the door frame in place
• installation of canopies
• installation of bolt on the sash
• Hanging door leaf wings
• installation and fixing of recyclables
• checking the operability of the door.
Dismantling of the old door leaf begins with the removal of it from the hinges. Then, the door frame is dismantled, followed by the removal of fasteners and insulation materials. After cleaning the door frame, you can proceed to manually assemble the door box. The door delivery kit includes an assembly instruction. Take full advantage of it.
The assembly technology provides such operations as sawing and assembling of elements, as well as installation of awnings. From the quality of the installation of canopies will depend on the process of opening and closing two flaps. Therefore, the first thing that needs to be done is to make an optimal installation of the hinge cards and crossbar, if necessary.
The installation of the door frame in place begins with its location using a plumb or level. Fixing the correct location of the box is carried out using anchor bolts and dowels. In view of the insignificant weight of the interior door, preference can be given to dowels and self-tapping screws. The box is fixed at 6 points: 3 points from the loop side of one leaf and 3 points of the second leaf.
To do this, the mounting holes are drilled in the elements of the box. It is recommended to install wooden blocks between the elements of the box and the doorway. To fix the formed voids during the installation of the box, a mounting foam is used, which has an insignificant coefficient of expansion upon hardening.
When installing canopies, the location of the leaflets is initially determined and marked. These are the extreme upper and lower points on the leaves at a distance of 150 mm.
Having installed and adjusted canopies, they are fixed with screws 35 mm long. The answer elements of canopies on the mounting box are fixed in a similar way. The installed canopies must guarantee a technological gap between the door flaps and the box. Having installed a double-winged interior door, it is necessary to check the efficiency, in order to exclude paste.
After the installation of the door leafs, the clypeus is installed and fixed along the perimeter of the entire doorframe.
