Water heated floor by own hands

The heating of their apartment, especially sex, occurs long before the onset of cold weather. A natural solution, in this case, is the installation of a floor heating system with your own hands, which will change the microclimate of the room.

What is floor water heating

Water floor heating is considered more beneficial, in terms of installation, and more environmentally friendly, because there are virtually no electromagnetic fields or other side effects. Floor water heating is a low-temperature central heating system. The temperature of the coolant (heated water) reaches 50 degrees. In this case, the heating system, with a predominant amount of heat, gives off excess radiation.

Which pipes must be chosen for the warm floor

Floor heating with circulating heated water requires the use of flexible pipes. For the device of a warm floor it is possible to use various pipes from plastic to metalloplastikovyh and even steel. But in most cases, pipes made of cross-linked polyethylene are used. Cross-linked polyethylene (piercing) is a special technological process that allows to obtain transverse structural bonds existing between polyethylene molecules.

There are various ways of cross-linking, depending on which the resistance of pipes to high temperature or pressure is different. Pipes for a warm water floor are capable of:

• withstand temperatures up to 55 ° С

• withstand a single freezing of water

• withstands mechanical stress

• withstand bending strength even with significant bending radii

• Do not corrode

• Extinguish acoustic waves and noise during operation

• serve for a long time (up to 50 years).

The scheme of work of system of a warm floor

In the systems of the water-heated floor, the adjustment of the temperature of the water heating with the help of a collector or distributor is applied. The distributor is an aggregate, which constructively consists of two metal pipes. Each pipe has its own "loop", on which it is possible to regulate the amount of water, the speed of its passage along the contour, and, naturally, change the temperature of the water.

The operating temperature of the system is adjusted by means of a sensor that operates at a certain temperature. The simplest sensor is a thermostat.

The thermostat is a control valve that goes directly to the thermostatic head in the kit. The thermostat in the "warm floor" system is placed on the heater. The flow capacity of the thermostat, like a valve, will supply the heating circuit with the amount of heat transfer medium that strictly corresponds to the specified temperature regime. No more, no less. Thanks to the microprocessor technology built into the thermostat, the adjustment is accurate and reliable.

The scheme of the water-heated floor is shown in the video with the animated instruction.

How to install a warm water floor

Installation of a warm water floor is a long, phased process.

The basic stages of installation of the system:

• preparation of the base of the floor

• Floor marking by sector

• laying of foil insulation

• laying damper tape on the wall

• laying of reinforcing mesh

• Pipe laying and fastening

• installation of pipes in the distribution manifold

• quality control of installation

• pouring concrete tie

• installation of floor covering.

The device of a warm floor of water

The design solution or the device of the water-heated floor is in the following stages. On the base of the floor (rough floor) is laid the original insulation layer. Directly on the insulating layer, a kind of "coil" is laid from the pipes of the design diameter with a certain pitch. A coolant passes through this coil with adjustable operating parameters.

The selection of the diameter of the pipes and the pitch of the arrangement depends on the planned production of the amount of heat of the heated room per 1 square meter. In this case, it is necessary to take into account heat loss - the thickness of the walls of the room, the quality of the window units and the temperature outside. The installed heating circuit from the pipes is poured with a layer of concrete screed. Floor covering is applied only after the screed is completely dry. Types and types of coating can be varied: from a wooden floor or a parquet and to plates or synthetic floor coverings.

For wooden warm water floors, the pipes for the contour are laid directly on the roughing floor on the logs with subsequent insulation and waterproofing.

Pipe laying in the system is possible in two ways: spiral masonry and "snake". Spiral pipe masonry is preferable for rooms of considerable area.

The method of laying "snake" is excellent for the device of the system of floor heating on its own for premises with a small area. The standard laying step in this way is 15-20 cm and is calculated at the stage of designing a system of floor heating.

It is taken into account that the distance from the laid pipe to the wall must be at least 7 cm with an optimum pipe diameter of 20 mm.

Screed with a water-heated floor is exposed to thermal loads, so for the normal functioning of the system, a wall-mounted insulating damper layer is made. Thus, the screed is in a comfortable environment created by additives plasticizers in the working solution.

In this case, the coupler can expand, contract, without losing its exceptional qualities. The floor covering is always laid directly on the screed layer. This fully applies to the organization of a warm floor under the tile, parquet or other synthetic materials. This takes into account the type of flooring to be covered, therefore the type of floor covering properly influences the beneficial heat output. The installation of a water floor under the tile has some special features in the installation: the installation of the floor should prevent the formation of voids or shells.
