To become an electrician in the house is possible with the first hand-installed installation of the outlet. What we have? Socket with front panel, support and frame with protective curtains. Oh yes! Another couple of wires coming from the wall. It is recommended to install the outlet reliably only once.

What you need to know before installing the sockets
An irreplaceable installation device, without which it is impossible to connect any household appliances are electrical outlets. When installing electrical equipment in a private house, it is necessary to know and be able to use the connection scheme of the outlet.
When installing and connecting an electrical outlet, you need to know this information:
• what type of outlet (single-phase or three-phase) is supposed to be installed
• presence of a grounding contact in the device.
For outlets that are powered by 220V, the power supply to the sockets is fed from the switchgear and the circuit breaker. The grounding wire for the sockets is also routed from the distribution board. Based on such data and a simple calculation of the parameters of the circuit, you can find out how many outlets to establish and what type of connection to use.
Recall that connect the outlet can be a method of parallel connection in the box, by twisting and soldering, using a loop.
Types of electrical outlets
According to a simple classification of outlet types adopted in 1998, the existing devices were assigned an alphabetic designation. The most common and widely used type of electrical outlet is Type C - Europlug "euro outlet". The Euro socket is equipped with two round contacts with a diameter of 4 mm and between a contact distance of 19 mm (Russian Standard analog GOST 7396).
There are many types and models of electrical outlets:
• open and closed
• Built-in sockets and wall-mounted versions.
• with safety timers and curtains
• for outdoor installation
• indicating the operating status.
The main working parameter of the electrical outlets is the current strength to which the devices are designed. Modern European sockets are designed for 16A current.
Regardless of the type of electrical outlets, it is recommended to install the device at a certain height. At what altitude is it recommended to install sockets?
How to install an outlet: installation and installation rules
place the sockets correctly
According to the European standard, it is recommended to have sockets in residential premises at a height of about 30 cm from the floor surface. For kitchens, the height of the rosettes is 1.3 m, and in rooms with high humidity, the sockets are placed at a height of 1 m from the floor level.
In addition, the location of the sockets from the doorway should be more than 0.6 m.
Naturally, the main principle of placement of outlets is convenience of use and practicality. However, adhering to the rules of the PUE is still desirable.
installation - disassemble the wires
Install the outlet is recommended in a hinged box, which is mounted in the apartment in the required location according to the wiring from the distribution board. When connecting the outlet use two wires and connect them to the contacts of the outlet.
Therefore, the connection circuit will have a wire that can be connected in parallel through the junction box to the second outlet. Sufficiently clear information for answering the question: "How to connect the outlet".
We connect the socket with our own hands
install a single outlet with ground
The sequence of actions can be successfully applied when installing and installing a single, double and triple socket.
What will be necessary to undertake:
Switch off the power of the central switch, which will disconnect the working electrical segment.
Remove the cover of the old outlet when replacing a new one.
Carefully remove the indoor socket assembly. Loosen the wires and clean them up to a length of 10 mm. To do this, press the contact groups of the connections (bolts and clamps). Make sure there is a third grounding wire. If there are two wires, the socket was without grounding.
Prepare a new outlet for installation: remove the cover and locate the location of the outlet. These are two contacts on the sides and a central contact for the ground wire. The new outlet shows the characteristic metal feet for the ground wire. We squeeze out contact bolts or clips, fastening tabs.
At the ends of the wires, make a small loop.
Connect wires to the contacts in the following order: on the left - phase, on the right - zero, in the middle - grounding.
We place the wires and fix them with clamps or screws. Clamp the wires should be as tight as possible, preferably without protruding to the sides of metal wires.
We put the ready-made socket assembly back into the wall mounting hole. Fastening feet are screwed with screws and fix the socket housing. Install the top cover.
How to install a socket without a grounding contact in the gypsum board wall is shown here.
installation of a double socket with earthing contacts
The algorithm for installing and connecting a double socket is practically the same as installing a single outlet. For example, a double electrical outlet with grounding, self-locking contacts and protective curtains will be installed in this way. We remove the old outlet from the wall hole (in case it was installed earlier), having previously turned off the power.

For convenience of installation, the sockets are equipped with a special metal or plastic plate - a support. The support is attached to the mounting holes separately from the parts of the socket, which allows installing several outlets in one unit. The design of the support is quite stiff, so the subsequent installation of the socket is reliable.
For installation of a double socket it is also possible to use a special box of the open installation, allowing to adjust depth of landing in a wall aperture. Installation is made in two planting wall openings. We prepare wires and clean their ends. From the mechanism of a double socket we remove the frame and the front panel.
We connect wires with a grounding contact to the contact group AgNi with a self-grip and the screws of the first socket. We fix the wires. We place the first outlet in the hole in the wall. We connect the cable, with which we install and connect the second outlet into the wall hole.
We adjust the placement of the double socket using the level and fix the wall outlet. Install the front panel with protective curtains. Turn on the power and check the operation of the outlet.
