how to properly make a vapor barrier
To create a vapor barrier system, we recommend not taking a film of polyethylene, but specially designed foam foil or an isolone with a foil layer.

At installation, the admission of overlaps is not desirable, the material should be laid in the joint. The final action of the installation should be gluing the joints with metallized tape.

The lining, in addition to the basis for installing the finishing layer, makes it possible to create an unfilled space between the layers of insulation and the finishing layer. The best material for arranging the battens is wooden, dried bars with a cross section of 35-40 mm.
The length of the bars should coincide with the width of the balcony. The quantity should be enough for mounting in steps of 55 to 60 centimeters. With the help of the level, it is necessary to determine the lowest ceiling point and to fix the first bar in this place.
The fasteners are made with a perforator and elongated nails-dowels. Further fixing is carried out at the same level as the first bar. The wedges of the required width are placed in the fixing points of the subsequent bars.

But experts argue that in a balcony or balcony it is more rational to use ceilings made of polyester fabric - they cope better with complex temperature conditions.
