Installing an air conditioner in an apartment is a difficult exercise. Installation is recommended with strict adherence to the installation and connection technology.
The cost of installing the air conditioner by specialized companies includes the following list of activities:
• installation of indoor unit
• connection of air duct and drainage
• installation of outdoor unit
• connection of the refrigeration circuit
• electrical connection according to the scheme
• Evacuation of the circuit
• Test run with an exit to the operating mode.
Consideration should be given to the installation location of the outdoor unit, because the installation of the outdoor unit in high-rise buildings is difficult. In some cases, when installation through a window opening of a heavy outdoor unit is not possible, preference for mounting works should be given to climbers. Whichever type of installation you prefer, the rules for the installation of air conditioners remain the same.
How to install correctly
Let's remind the basic rules of installation of conditioners. Air conditioning of any type (monoblock or split-system) is installed on a stable surface that withstands the weight of the unit. Mark the wall to locate the mounting plate. Drill the required number of holes with a diameter of 5 mm and install the dowels for the screws. Install the mounting plate and secure it.

Determine the position of the holes for the pipeline on the mounting plate and drill a hole with a diameter of 65 mm with an inclination outwards. For laying the pipeline, place a shock absorber between the unit and the wall.
After laying the pipeline, remove the damping material. Then, slightly shifting the bottom edge of the indoor unit, move the unit in all directions to make sure the mounting is secure.

To connect the pipeline, remove the plug from the rear or left of the cover. Fold the pipeline, placing it at a height of 40-45 mm from the wall, and fix the ends. The pipes coming out of the block must be insulated.
Drain the hose with a downward slant to allow free flow of condensate.
Connect the pipeline, drain hose and cable with electrical tape.

To mount the outdoor unit, you need to prepare the mounting brackets. The installed surface must be rigid, not capable of supporting the phenomena of vibration and the propagation of noise. To protect the operating internal fan of the unit, if necessary, install external protective plates or screens.
Suspend the outdoor unit can be on a concrete or brick base, providing a stable connection of the bracket to the wall. The outdoor unit is positioned strictly horizontally, the fixation is fixed with nuts 08, 010. The outdoor unit must be positioned in such a way as to provide a free space around itself.

The most complicated operation is the creation and connection of a refrigerant circuit, because the cause of refrigerant leakage is considered to be poor-quality pipe expansion. The refrigeration circuit is created using pipes intended for freon pipelines.

The pipe is prepared for placement: cut off by the required distance between the air conditioner units. Then disconnect the union nuts attached to both units, install them on the pipe with which the burrs are removed. During the deburring process, the pipe is kept cut down. We put the copper tube into the clamp and fix it by twisting the union nut using a wrench and adjustable key. It must be remembered that after the pipes are unwound, the nuts are not installed.
electrical connection
Electrical connection is made according to the scheme declared by the manufacturer. The wiring diagram is located on the cover of the terminal box. For connection, the supply voltage can not be lower than the rated voltage. It is not allowed to connect other devices to the air conditioner connection package. The air conditioner housing must be grounded.
The connection of the outdoor and indoor units is made with a cable H07RN-F and a cross-section of live conductors 1.5 mm2. To connect the cable to the indoor unit, remove the cover of the electric unit. Select and connect the connecting wires to the connectors and terminals in accordance with the marking and designation.
Unused wires are insulated and removed, eliminating contact with the metal parts of the unit. Check the tightness of the clips and secure. Now check the parameters of the electrical circuit.
circuit evacuation
Vacuuming the refrigeration circuit is carried out in order to remove moisture and air. Having convinced of the correct installation of the tubes of the air conditioner units, we check each tube of the liquid and gas lines.
We choose the method of evacuation, which depends on the length of the pipeline:
• up to 5 m use a vacuum pump without the addition of refrigerant
• at a length of 10 m, use a pump and add refrigerant at a rate of 30 g of refrigerant per 1 meter of length.
The coolant is added through the liquid line.
To the vacuum pump we connect the filling hose and pump the air out of the circuit.
To do this, open the regulator valve and loosen the union nut of the gas pipe. Vacuuming is carried out to a pressure of 76 mm Hg for 15 minutes. After evacuation, the valve regulator closes and turns off the pump.
Now you can make a test run of the air conditioner with an exit to the operating mode.
