Cleaning is best done in rubber gloves. They will protect their hands from possible splinters and various injuries. The old cracked paint can be removed with a metal brush, a special solvent (sold in all hardware stores) or a construction hair dryer. Also, it will not hurt to carefully inspect all parts of the fence. It is not excluded that some of them will have to be replaced by new ones. Particular attention should be paid to nails (screws), to which the wooden parts are attached.
Experts advise to apply paint from the bottom up. If the barrier is solid - the paint can be produced by a wide brush painting a pair of boards at the same time. If the boards are located separately - the paint is produced alternately. For convenience, under the lower edge of the fence put any dense, clean and unnecessary material. It will prevent sticking of grass, earth, small pebbles and so on.

How to paint a concrete fence

This fence is cleaned with a metal brush, paying special attention to fragments of rust and scales. Then they are covered with sandpaper. Now you can proceed to the preliminary layers of painting. The first layer is the degreaser layer. The second is a primer. The third and fourth will be paint. But there must be a time between them, during which the complete drying of each previous layer will take place.
