A modern solution, which allows to give the apartment its originality and style, is the plasterboard decoration of a complex ceiling, including allowing the design of two-level ceilings. The reasons for the popularity of drywall when leveling ceilings are many. The main reason is ecological and respectable appearance.

Complex ceilings
If you ask any builder whether there are "simple" ceilings, then a coherent answer may not follow. The "simple" ceiling, and the technology of its finishing, means that the ceiling itself can serve as the basis.
The concept of "complex" ceilings implies prefabricated structures, which are attached to the walls. "Complex" ceilings are of two types:
• hanging
• tension.
Two solid groups are similar in methods of mounting and fixing. Suspended are ceiling structures, consisting of metal frames and a ceiling coating (gypsum board). Stretchable are the ceilings, tension and attachment of which is carried out on a solid frame or frame, installed along the perimeter.
Universal ceilings from plasterboard
Why is the finish of plasterboard ceilings attractive for builders? Working with plasterboard allows you to hide the existing differences between the slabs, unevenness or convexity. Under the plasterboard slabs, it is possible to successfully hide engineering communications and electrical wiring. Suspended ceiling from gypsum cardboard will allow to place inside insulating materials and to establish point fixtures.
The most recognized are two-level or multi-level ceilings. For finishing, a ceiling gypsum board with a sheet thickness of 8 mm is used. Working with such a drywall is a pleasure: it is easily and easily cut with a conventional construction knife, allowing you to easily create smooth transitions. On any ceiling well look rounded and smooth elements. Ceiling gypsum cardboard allows the simplest ledge to round out and give it a unique charm of creativity. Well, if the ceiling is two-level, then the originality of solutions can be doubled doubly.
Two-level gypsum plasterboard ceilings
Before you begin the finishing of a complex ceiling, you must draw a sketch. On the working sketch of a two-level ceiling made of plasterboard it will be necessary, in addition to the desired geometric figure, to note all the locations of the pillars and mounting profiles. It must be remembered that the multilevel ceilings will reduce the space of the room. The first base level will lower the surface by 5 cm and the second level by 10 cm. If the ceilings in the room are sufficiently level, they can be used as the first level without additional processing.
Mounting of the skeleton of the ceiling coating starts from the first level.
Beforehand, the horizontality of the ceiling is carefully determined. This operation must be performed twice in order to exclude any undesirable skew. For these purposes, the most appropriate tool is the water level. The marks of the surface with the help of the paint cord are beaten all over the height. Then drill holes for dowels and screw UD profiles. Then on the ceiling draw parallel straight lines at a distance of 60 cm between them and make the installation of suspensions.
For working with plasterboard of a complex configuration, metal profiles and special screws for gypsum board are used.
Traditional metal profiles for plasterboard are represented by galvanized and metal forms with a thickness of 0.6 mm and a length of 2.5 m. Guiding and rack (supporting) profiles are used for fixing gypsum board boards of both the first and second levels.
The guiding profiles defining the basic frame and shape are connected to the stiffeners. And the length is determined by the size to which the second level of the ceiling will be lowered. It is best to immediately prepare the rounded corners so that they are the same shape and size. The main frame is fixed and mounted according to the specified contour with the help of special suspensions, with height adjustment of the level. Suspensions are located at an equal distance of 40 cm. The corners of the structure are rigidly fixed. Drywall sheets are pre-cut and the necessary holes are cut for the installation of spotlights.
When working with rounded elements for easier work, the preform is slightly moistened with water. This makes it easier to bend the drywall and give the elements the desired shape. You can also trim the part from the back side with slits and slightly break the material. After the elements of the second level are ready for installation, the curly plates are fixed with the help of self-tapping screws with fine carving of "bedbugs". Screws screw in, flattening a flat hat into the surface of the plate.
Modern ceilings from plasterboard with illumination not only from point fixtures, but also with application of high technologies of lighting engineering, fascinate. Masked in the niches of multi-level ceilings, LED ribbons are surely replacing old-fashioned and inconvenient bulbs and lamps. Advantages of LED tape are obvious and shine with bright recruiting light. Moreover, RGB models allow you to receive lighting of different colors and shades. True, along with the tape will need to purchase a controller. But these are trifles, in comparison with the chic "complex" ceiling, the second of which no one else has.
Sophisticated ceiling options
And, finally, what "complex" ceiling can do without the flexible metal profile Flext? Yes, almost no! A completely new technology for creating a closed, flexible profile "broke" the construction industry.
Two identical halves of the metal profile, connected in one flexible and reliable construction, allow creating curvilinear transitions on several levels of the ceiling coating.
Uniform bending of the frame and ease of assembly of the rough construction allow creating stunning "complex" ceilings. Flexibility in one plane and the possibility of rigid fixation in the given position and you are already creating with your own hands a multi-level ceiling from the profile Flext.
