Sliding doors can have two canvases or more, which move along several guides, eventually forming the leaves in a single plane. For this, a fastening using a swivel arm is used. The swivel lever allows the flaps to move to the desired angle of rotation. At the ends of the rails the stopper for moving the doors of the interior doors is the end stoppers.
Installation of double-leaf interior doors
Installation of sliding doors can be done by yourself.
Installation of interior double-leaf doors consists of several stages:
• installation of guides
• fixing on the leafs of the doors of the holders and fittings
• installation of door leaf wings
• installation of stop limiters (stoppers)
• Fixing of clypees and dobors
• adjustment of the operability of the door.
Installation of sliding doors must begin with a sketch and marking the walls. It is necessary to consider the arrangement of the lower guide, coordinating the installation with the floor structures. The upper guide profile is placed at the height of the door leaf, adding 20 mm for gaps from the floor and from the leaflets. The horizontal orientation and installation of the rails should be checked and corrected using the level. The upper guide is attached to a wooden beam 50x50. The beam should be securely attached to the wall. Anchors and dowels are used to fix the rails.
It is recommended to fix the holders and fittings on the leaflets according to the instructions of the manufacturer of the sliding doors. Here it is necessary to strictly follow the manufacturer's instructions, because for different types of materials, the leaflets can be: seals, brushes, metal plates with rubber substrates or jigs.
After fixing the guides and installing the holders, the doors of the door leaf are mounted by hanging. To install the doors it is better to work together. One person will hold the flap, and the second will start the carriage with the roller system in the guide. This stage of installation is the most laborious and tidy.
To install the door leaf the first time can only be an illusionist. However, a well-made installation of both door leafs will signal an imminent shutdown.
