How to make a beautiful pool on the site with your own hands

An outdoor pool on the plot is the cherished dream of every owner and it must be said, gradually, the pool is not a luxury, but a necessity. Hot summer is much easier to carry not only to children, but also to elderly people at the reservoir, and since natural reservoirs are not always clean sources, the way out is to build a pool on the site with their own hands.

Determine the location of the future basin

The pool is best placed in an open, sunny place - this will allow the sun to quickly warm up the pool water.

Near the pool should not grow tall deciduous trees, since the foliage from the tree will clog the water, and the roots will be able to break the waterproofing of the bowl.

Residential and non-residential buildings should be at a distance, so that the shadow from the buildings does not block the pool.

After you have decided on the place, decide on the size of the future pool and its shape.

A classic option is to offer an oval shape and a swimming pool size of 3x4 meters.

It is easiest to build a pool from a polypropylene bowl, by dipping it about ⅔ into the ground.

The depth of the basin is usually 150 centimeters. is equal to the width of the polypropylene sheet.

Thus, in the earth there will be one meter of the pool bowl, and half a meter above the ground.

Such penetration will help to prevent children from falling into the pond and to facilitate earth work.

Roem pit for basin bowl

The pit should be 60 cm wider than the future bowl, because along the circumference of the bowl will be laid foam and reinforcing composition of sand and concrete mixture, in addition, along the circumference there will be communications in the form of a skimmer, nozzles and pipes.

After excavating the foundation pit - you need to carefully prepare the bottom of the foundation pit, you need to pay attention to the strict horizontal line of the bottom, otherwise, if the bottom of the pool is not horizontal, you will get a pool with a curved mirror of water.

After leveling the bottom of the pool, tamp it and make sand pouring to form a sand cushion - again pound the sand.

On the sand, put in a staggered order, with a distance of 50 cm, bricks - put them on them reinforcement of class a3  (from it you will make a reinforcing mesh, connecting the reinforcement with each other).

Set the beacons, above the reinforcement mesh, by 20 cm.

After the work, order a machine with concrete (about 3 m3 per trench area 14 m2), after the concrete is poured into the pit, make a quick and careful alignment of the foundation area of the pit.

Leave the pit for a month in peace, so that the concrete is well frozen.

Prepare a basin of polypropylene basin

Since, at present, the pool bowl can be welded on the spot, you can do it yourself or invite specialists.

If you cook yourself, you need a special welding machine and the skills of a polypropylene welder.

After the basin bowl is ready, holes for the lanterns, skimmer, and nozzles are made in it.

The geotextile is laid on the bottom of the pit, then the polypropylene bowl is lowered - everything is checked horizontally.

Works on arrangement of reinforcement of polypropylene basin of the basin

On the circumference of the bowl, along its entire height, in the ground, a foam plastic with a thickness of 5 cm is laid, then along the entire circumference the void is filled with a sand-cement mixture (as filling - the pool is filled with water), the sand-cement mixture is constantly spilled with water.

Do not forget to conduct all communications before you begin work on the reinforcement of the pool.

At the end of pouring the pool bowl in the ground, on the above-ground part of the pool we build the formwork for the pouring of concrete.

It remains to improve the upper, aboveground, part of the pool with ceramic tiles, terraced boards or other finishing material.

The work is finished, the pool is ready - you can swim!
